New Kid on the Block!
Thinwall Trailers Debuts in Australia
There’s a new kid on the block–Thinwall Trailers, the newly minted South Australian trailer made its first-ever truck show appearance at this year’s International Truck, Trailer & Equipment Show (ITTES) in Melbourne last May.
According to Managing Director, Barry Fennell, the iconic Melbourne Truck Show served as the brand’s launching pad to introduce the newly formed company to the market, but also see the Australian premiere of three new Thinwall models.
“We just opened for business in September, so the Melbourne Truck Show will be our first real opportunity to connect with the wider transport market and engage many fleet operators from across Australia that aren’t yet familiar with the Thinwall brand,” Fennell said.
Representing Canadian OEM Titan Trailers, Thinwall showcased a range of all-new ADR-approved aluminium trailers that included a walking floor semi-trailer for the waste industry and a B-double grain hopper combination.
“All the trailers displayed have been designed specifically to suit the local market,” the company explained. “As for the truck show itself, we couldn’t be happier with the visitor traffic and the event itself we’ve been quite impressed with. Hopefully, the opportunities gained from this even will lead to profitable outcomes in the near future.”
Thinwall’s ITTES stand was headlined by a new walking floor model that was specially designed for the waste industry. According to Fennell, it will include a hydraulic rear tailgate and a hydraulic flip top, among other innovative features.
In addition, Thinwall also displayed a B-double grain hopper combination and a third model, which has yet to be confirmed. “Visitors will just have to come along to our stand and see for themselves what we have on offer,” Fennell added.
Thinwall Trailers is the Australian representative of Titan Trailers, a family-owned and run trailer manufacturer based in Ontario, Canada.
